Project Manager – Fit Out (Retail)

Company

Our client is one of Malaysia’s popular shopping mall who is looking to expand their project fit out team.

Role

• The candidate must be able to lead a team of Fit Out executives, ensuring design layout of shop spaces are completed in time, also to ensure quality of finishing.


• The candidate will be reporting to General Manager.

Duties

Pre – Construction stage

• Lead and manage interior fitting out projects from inception to completion


• Plan, organize, direct, co-ordinate and execute Project Team to ensure full performance with design specification on time and within budget


• Examine the drawings, assess the material requirements, approve and submit the purchase requisition accurately


• Liaise with Authorities when necessary and approvals required according to Building By-laws


• Develop and deliver progress report to General Manager from time to time

Construction stage

• Responsible in overall progress of work for tenancy fit out


• Liaise and coordinate with Leasing, Building Services, Security and Safety Department with regard to tenant fit out works


• Monitor fit out works and ensure contractors comply with approved design and address any technical issues that may arise


• Monitor progress against the project plan and to keep update the progress to General Manager and taking quick corrective action where required

Post Construction stage

• Carry out inspection before opening of shops with Leasing, Safety and Building Services Department upon completion of fit out works and certify compliance to drawings as submitted by Tenant and approved by Landlord


• Supervise rectification works in close liaison with Contractors and Leasing, Safety and Building Services Department with the event of non-compliance


• Liaise with client’s consultants to issues relating to project

End of Tenancy

• Liaise with Tenant and their appointed contractors to ensure premises are made good and returned to original condition.

Skills and Experience

• Minimum Bachelor degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Project Management or Construction, or relevant


• Minimum 7 years of working experience interior Fit Out for Construction Sector


• Extensive knowledge in Interior Design industry within Malaysia


• Good leadership and managing skills


• Candidate must be innovative and proactive
