Why You Should Go For A Professional Resume Writing Service

Job seeking is the most tedious and frustrating phase in the career life of a person. Unfortunately, this is a process that most of the people go through after completing whatever level of education or training. There are a number of factors that determine your success when it comes to job searching in a highly competitive market and shrinking openings that are available today. While many employers look for the high academic performer that has the relevant work experience, you will be shocked that these are just few of the finer details that are used to separate the wheat from the chuff when it comes to vetting potential employees. To stand out, you may require professional resume writing service to stand out from the huge number of applicants for the post you are going for.

Your certificates and the way you present yourself during that interview play a big role in determining whether you get that dream or not. Confidence, grooming, proper knowledge of the job you are seeking and honesty are some of the interview tips that we have been told of since we were teens. But did you know that many employers already have in mind who they will hire long before the interviews? This may come as a shocker to many but it is a fact. Close to 80 percent of recruiters make this crucial decision by looking through the resumes. The interviews that follow are merely held to confirm what they already know!

So, have you been wondering why that phone call for a job has been elusive despite the dozen interviews that you attend each year? The answer is simple; your CV. The CV may be ordinary paper but it is your reliable advocate if you wish to get a good job. A good CV can easily get you employment. In such a situation, recruiters will use elementary elimination methods in order to reduce the workload of interviewing an unnecessarily large number. CV Writing Guide For Managers

You need a CV writing guide that'll get you shortlisted for management interviews even though it's a truly dreadful jobs market out there. That's what this article offers.

This CV writing guide helps you market your way to success rather than focus on selling your skills to possibly unwilling buyers. You start the process by finding out the employers' view of the perfect candidate. Even if you feel you're a far from perfect candidate, you need to collect this information as it'll guide you in pitching your CV and deciding which types of employers to target.

Go online and put in the search terms for the type of management job you want, then trawl through the job ads. Save copies of everything that gives useful information about that particular sector of the jobs market and what employers are asking for. Don't restrict your search to management jobs within the right geographical area because all you want to do right now is to discover what criteria your target employers use when deciding which candidates to interview.

If you're relying on recruitment consultancies to help you find your next job, then you need to list the exact phrases and words agencies use in advertising the management jobs that interest you. This CV writing guide recommends using exactly the same words and phrases that appear in the job ads - recruitment agencies use software that searches their databases for these terms when they look for candidates to interview.

Go through all your saved material, highlighting every key point (eg the specific qualifications and management experience most employers ask for). Check the employers' priorities advises this CV writing guide - if they put budget management skills before technical expertise you should do the same on your own CV.

Summarise all the data you've highlighted in a master file, ready for use when you begin writing your CV.

It's only at this stage - when the employers' view of the perfect candidate for the job is crystal clear - that you can begin to think about actually writing your CV.

When preparing to write your CV, the first question to decide is which CV format will help me sell my services most effectively? Any good online CV writing guide will point out the variety of CV formats available to job hunters and highlight the advantages and disadvantages of each (a functional CV is particularly well suited to a new graduate or mid-career professional, for example). Ignore any CV writing guide which claims there's only one perfect CV template - that just isn't true.

You must search for objective evidence (eg sales value, increased profitability, etc) when writing your CV so you can evidence each claim about your successes. This approach also means you won't produce the bland, generic type of CV most recruiters instantly bin!

The whole purpose of writing your CV is to get you an interview for the job you want. Doing the job right will take far more research, hard thinking and care with your wording than most candidates put into writing their CVs. This CV writing guide argues it's far better to put your all into developing a truly effective CV at the very beginning of your job search than to suffer the miseries of watching other people snap up the very few good job opportunities now available.

Attorney Resume Writing Service - Your First Step to a Successful Legal Career!

What is an Attorney Resume Writing Service? In today's market the resume has become one of the most quintessential job tools. Sure, it never helps to have a parent or family relative who is a partner at an AMLAW 100 firm, or a best friend who works at a firm and has the inside track about a new position. But, unless you graduated in the top 10% of a top 10 law school, in this economy, you will be fighting amongst the masses for one of the limited positions available in today's market.

Think of it like this: There are at least 250 - 300 law schools in the United States - each one with at least 100 students in the graduating class (Though most have more). That is at least 25000 new graduates you will be competing against for the very limited number of jobs. That is why it is crucial that you have a streamlined, concise, and creative resume to assist you in your job search. Here are some tips to help you.

What is an attorney certified professional resume writer? In order to become a certified professional resume writer, the writer must pass a series of grammar, spelling, and writing tests. Is it as hard as passing the bar exam? No - BUT, it lets you know that the person you are hiring to write your resume is at least proficient to do so. For the legal field, it is important that you have a writer who understands the legal field and preferably has practiced law. Otherwise, you might have a resume with word "judgement" instead of "judgment" or someone who thinks "Discovery" is "a really cool station on cable.

Work with your writer: Be sure to interview your writer. I understand you are busy, and life moves pretty fast, BUT if you want to make sure that your writer is a good fit, then you have to communicate with him or her. This might mean speaking on the telephone or communicating by email, but do not forego this step.

Due Diligence: Do some research on the writer and the company. Are the writers certified? How many years of experience do they have? Have they been published? Not every resume writer needs to write articles or have 20 years of experience to be effective - but remember the old adage "You get what you pay for."

Stay away from large companies: Most large resume companies retain part-time, contract resume writers without any true resume writing experience. They will rush through your resume, like a factory or a mill law firm. Research the smaller companies, and again be sure to interview your writer - in the end you will thank me for it.

Good Luck!

Writing A Good Resume

You are about to begin your job search and you know what comes next, you need to write a resume or have your resume updated.

The thought of writing a good resume might want to make you go out and just buy a lottery ticket and hope for the best, but it's really not that difficult! Here are a few resume writing tips that can help put your resume at the top of the pile.

Tip #1. Create Your Resume With Your Employer In Mind

When you begin the resume writing process, remember that your future employer looks at a resume differently than you might. They are scanning your resume to see if you possess the skills and/or experience that will help them not only fill a position, but improve their company.

So when you write your resume, make sure that your skills and experience are what jumps out a the reader right off the bat. How? Proceed to Tip #2!

Tip #2. Consider A Summary

When beginning your resume, consider replacing the old standard resume objective with a fresh and powerful summary of qualifications. Why? Because resume objectives can often be boring while using up valuable real estate on your resume! A summary of qualifications offers your potential employer a three-line summary of what you are bringing to the table regarding your skills and experience (Remember Tip #1). Take a look at the example below of a standard resume objective from one of our clients and the summary of qualifications that was used for the same person and decide for yourself which creates a stronger impression.
Resume Objective: To obtain a position in sales where I can use my work experience and grow with a company.Summary Of Qualifications: Over 12 years of sales, marketing and advertising experience. Skilled in creating and presenting sales presentations, facilitating trade shows, and increasing new customer base. Proficient with MS Office software as well as database programs.Tip #3. Bring Action To Your Bullet Points: Whatever resume format you choose, you will want to make sure that your skills and experience create the impression that you are a person of action. To accomplish this, you will want to make sure that each of your resume bullet points that describe your skills or experience begins with a resume action word that fits your sentence. Examples include words such as (Developed, Managed, Facilitated, Organized...) Don't miss the opportunity to make those bullet points work for you on your resume.

Tip #4. Get The Inside Scoop On Your Competition: Take a few minutes and research the company that you are applying for by reviewing the job description and going online to see their company website. Why? Because each company uses their own style of language as part of their company culture. So if the company you are targeting tends to repeat certain buzz words in their job description or on their website, make sure to target your skills and experience towards those buzz words. For example if you see that a company's job description repeats the phrase "customer service" several times, then make sure that your skills and experience include customer service!

Tip #5. White Space Is Good Space: The empty spacing in between your paragraphs and headings on your resume is also known as white space. This space is very important to your resume as it creates a "flow" or readability for your resume reader. If there is too much information crammed into your resume, it will appear busy and difficult to read. Keep decent margins around your resume and make sure that your spacing is equal for all of your paragraphs and bullet points so that your resume flows nicely.

Remember, you never get a second chance to make that first impression!

Use these resume writing tips and you will be writing a good resume that creates a powerful and lasting impression.

Best of success in your job search!

Construction Resume Writing Services for Project Managers of All Levels of Experience

Whether you are a new or experienced project manager in the construction, engineering, or real estate field, this article is for you. Sure, the job market is not as strong as it used to be, and career prospects are lean, but there are still thousands of construction projects happening each day, on a global scale, and every single one of them requires one or several project managers.

A project manager has lots of different definitions and responsibilities depending on several factors, including: what your experience level is, are you a General or Specific Project Manager? Are you PMP certified, etc. Nevertheless, almost all project management positions have one tie that binds - you MUST be able to simultaneously manage several projects in various stages of completion, as well as various employees of ranging experience levels and proficiencies. Depending on your level of experience and focus, you may lean more toward one or the other, but both skills are required to be successful.

With that said, all you have to do is drive 20 miles in any direction of your house and chances are you will find new homes being built, older buildings being renovated, streets being repaved, and/or shopping centers receiving a badly needed facelift or touch-up. Unlike days past when all you needed was a friend or connection at a construction company and a pretty good reputation, today's construction job market is different. You need an effective construction resume to help get you through the door and into the position you want.

So what is the best strategy for success? Here it is - be proactive. What does this mean for you? Try this strategy on for size: Take a drive and find 3 different projects that interest you. Once you have these 3 projects, find as much information as you can about the position. This includes the owner of Construction Company, the general contractor, the sub contractor, engineering firm, etc. and write the information down in a pad you designate solely for this task.

Then when you get home take a look at your resume. I mean a good look at this document and ask yourself, "Does this resume reflect me?" Is the resume updated, have you reviewed the information carefully, does it bolster and highlight your achievements, has it been spell-checked and grammar-checked? In other words, is this the one document you want someone to look at as the first representation of you, for the position?

If the answer is yes, then do your best to locate the company's fax or email, be sure you are sending your resume and cover letter from a professional email address (not: Beerbongparty@ partydude. com ) and send the resume and cover letter attention HR or Ladies and Gentlemen. If your resume is not in a good shape, do NOT waste the opportunity, rather secure the services of a certified professional construction resume writer or writing service to assist you in getting your resume into fighting shape!

Good Luck!

Writing an International Resume

When we started with our Resume writing service we never had thought that we would be writing international resumes. That assignment however did come one day and we were forced to write the resume for a teacher seeking a job abroad.

A lot of research went into the first draft and a lot of learning ensued and we realized that writing international resumes is not that difficult if you simply follow a few points. Below I have made a list of some essential things to be kept in mind when you are designing your resume for international applications.

1. Give your academics more and first coverage than your work history. Reason? For your perspective employer, you might be working in a local company out of your home at best; he can never find out exactly what you did! So for him, the best way to judge you is through your qualifications and your academic pursuits.

2. Format is extremely important in case of international resumes.
Your resume should have good margins, at least 1" on top, bottom, left and right each.Your font should be standard - Times New Roman or Arial are the best. No comic sans please!12-14 points is what your font size should be.and last, your text needs to be left aligned.

3. You should name your file as "lastname_firstname_resume.doc" or "firstname_lastname_resume.doc"

4. Keep your contact information at the top and always include your country code in the telephone number.

5. Try not to use Bold and Italics font styles too much. Keep their use to a bare minimum for only those places where it is absolutely necessary to make a differentiation, like headings.

6. Use Universal position titles only. Don't write your designation as Group Leader if you only performed the role of a supervisor. Your company might call you a group leader but your new employer might not understand what you did. So use "Supervisor" in your resume. But, make sure your references are aware of this so they know what to say when they are called by the employer.

7. Do not abbreviate terms. Use "Vice President" for VP and "Deputy Manager" for "Dpty Mgr"

After you have followed the above steps, make sure your resume is broadly sectioned in these categories. You can have different sections, ofcourse but generally an employer will expect your resume to be written in this way.

The main sections should more probably be
Personal InformationSkillsEducation and QualificationsCareer ExperienceExtra-Curricular Activities and Interests

Resume Writing Skills: "The Power Is In the Details!"

We've all heard the saying, "The devil is in the details." Well, in effective resume writing you have to pay attention because, "The power is in the details."

First, it needs to be emphasized that typos, misspellings or grammatical mistakes should never appear in any written material you send out. From an email to your resume it all should be free from errors. Miss a mistake in grammar and your otherwise well written resume could never be seen again.

The second resume writing detail that you should pay particular attention to is how you list your employers. With no supporting information the name of your employer on your resume indicates nothing.

The goal of your resume is to create as complete a picture of your experience as possible. Failure to describe any of your employers diminishes the value of your resume and raises questions in the mind of the reader. The hiring manager is not going to connect the dots for you and questions leads directly to a rejection.

Don't assume one company knows what is going on in another company, even if both are in the same industry or are in the same general area. A customer service manager in one company may have 20 people working for them while in another similar sized company in the same industry may have outsourced the function.

You want the reader to understand your experience in the context of the size of the company, what business it's in and who are their customers. These details allow the hiring manager to understand your level of experience in relation to the needs of the position.

Even if you worked for a company with a household name, at a minimum you need to provide: How did your job fit in the employer's operations? Division or corporate? Size in sales or number of employees? Any subordinates? Their functions? Without providing details of the context of previous positions the prospective employer is left with questions, and your goal in writing a resume is to eliminate questions not create them.

Screening resumes is more of an art than a science. Rather than looking for reasons to put your resume in the interview pile more often the opposite is true. First it's skimmed. Hard to read with bad formatting doesn't make the cut. Don't immediately see needed skills another rejection. Questions are raised about your experience, depending on the job and number of candidates, you might move on but don't count on it.

In a competitive job hunting environment part of your overall marketing effort is to stand above the crowd of other candidates. Briefly describing the context of other jobs is just one additional way to stand out.

Another important detail that does not need to be included in your resume is the address of previous employers. Name and city will suffice in your resume. If you are required to complete a full application, store the information in your phone or blackberry so it can be easily retrieved.

A careful listing of previous employers is just one additional way to get your resume read. If your resume gets the hiring officials attention because you are paying attention to the important details you have a powerful document.
