Later in October 2006, Dato’ Abdul Wahab announced MIMOS is pursuing applied research in frontier technologies aimed at growing globally competitive indigenous industries to move Malaysia up the value chain and ensure accelerated economic growth. To this end, MIMOS is focusing on eight applied research areas: cyber space security, encryption systems, grid computing, wireless broadband, micro systems (MEMS/NEMS), advanced informatics, knowledge technology and micro energy systems. At MIMOS, we strongly believe that people is the most important resource for creativity and innovation. The unique perspective of each and everyone of our employee is our greatest asset. We encourage our employees to learn for a lifetime and to share their unique perspective and capabilities for a common betterment.
