Our client is a multinational company that manufactures cables and optical fibres.


About the role


Reporting to the Regional HR Director you will be responsible for the HR functions in the companies in Malaysia and business partner with the Operation and Commercial team to ensure company business growth and profitability. Some of the incumbent’s key accountabilities include:


  • Responsible for the full spectrum of human resource functions including manpower planning, recruitment & selection, employee compensation and benefits management, talent management, employee relations, and training & development.

  • Work with Regional People Development to ensure our talent management process is followed, build talent pipeline and succession plan for the company

  • Work with Regional Compensation and Benefit team to ensure the pay competitiveness and pay equity of our employees.

  • Responsible for company day to day administration functions including the security of the company.

  • Implement and develop HR policies and procedures that are aligning with business objectives.

  • Provide strategic HR advice to senior management team.

  • Drive initiatives and improve the quality of services.

Skills & Experiences:


  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, HR management or any field related

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant HR generalist

  • Familiar with labour regulations and HR operating environment

  • Work experience from international/global companies is preferred

  • Experience in Business Process Improvement and HR project implementation.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, engagement and influencing skills.

  • Understand numbers and financials reports a plus

  • Team player mentality is extremely important in this role

  • Ability to work independently
