Our client is a GLC company operating throughout the world and currently one of the largest company in Malaysia and they are currently seeking an individual to fill the role of Head of Department – Marketing. This company are consistently expanding their portfolio and this is a very unique opportunity in Malaysia which will elevate your career.


about the role


Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will help oversee all the marketing objectives including driving the team to achieve the target of their portfolio, covering several area througout Malaysia. The position is related to product marketing and branding.


duties



  • Provide the planning and leadership to the Marketing Department by ensuring that the appropriate structures, systems, competencies and values are developed in order to meet and exceed the goals of the Marketing plan.




  • Assume overall responsibility for developing the annual marketing plan for the organisation; for strategic market planning; market research programmes; field force activities, and control of the marketing budget.




  • Organise and direct marketing and strategy meetings on a regular basis whereby the strategy and promotion programmes are reviewed.




  • Report on marketing committee and strategy group activities to senior management colleagues.



skills & experience


For this exciting opportunity, the successful candidate will have proven experience in the following:



  • Advanced communication and presentation skills

  • Relationship management

  • Analytical skills

  • Interactive skills

  • Minimum 8 years experience in a marketing and relationship management capacity, preferably in lubricant and/or FMCG sectors.

  • Project Management experience would be an added advantage.

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in marketing and/or related discipline or a proven track record of excellence.
