Centre Manager - Kuala Lumpur

The Centre Manager will have the following key responsibilities


  • Pursue a proactive partnership approach to working with tenants, monitoring formalized joint objectives geared to targeted increases in retail sales and densities;

  • Develop and maintain highest possible retail standards, including centre appearance,  visual merchandising, promotional activity, customer conversion loyalty;

  • Ensure open and effective two way communication with tenant brands, encouraging new business development ideas to  maximise sales and rental income;

  • Ensure tenants fulfill their obligations under their lease agreements;

  • Work with the marketing manager and shopping mall executives to  maximise the effective use of a significant marketing budget spend to drive footfall and spend;

  • Champion customer service performance to customers;

  • Ensure all operational standards, including health and safety requirements are met so that customers can enjoy shopping in a clean and secure environment;

  • Develop budgets and KPIs;

  • Continuous budget monitoring, performance analysis, expenditure tracking with full profit and loss responsibility;

  • Identify and remove/reduce all non‑productive costs to ensure that the Service Charge represent value for money;

  • Motivate, train and develop team members to deliver on their agreed objectives;

  • Lead, develop and monitor all other members of the onsite management team and ensure behavioral compliance of all visiting contractors;

  • Regular reviews/management reporting to key board executives. Proactively involve shopping mall executives when appropriated;


Requirement:



  • Solid and successful experience in Retail or Shopping centre management  with an impressive commercial background gained within a progressive Retail/Brand or Shopping centre operator;

  • Background in a multi-product/ functional environment, with high levels of numeracy and strong affinity with marketing and customers focus; 

  • Sophisticated understanding of retail supply chain and best practice in Property Management;

  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting and strategic business planning is vital, as is the ability to provide practical guidance and counsel on business issues to local tenants.

  • Experience of managing local marketing campaigns is important
