Group Chief Risk Officer - Kuala Lumpur

  • Create procedures, develop and implement an integrated risk management framework where risks can be continuously identified, assessed and incorporated into decision making on group-wide basis.

  • The primary function of the risk management would be twofold i.e. to (i) facilitate risk assessment, monitoring and management on group-wide basis, and (ii) provide a sound, balanced and timely risk appraisal and a portfolio view of risks.

  • Establish, communicate and facilitate the use of appropriate risk methodologies, systems and processes on group-wide basis, establish and maintain risk management framework.

  • Establish and communicate the strategic risks objectives and direction on group-wide basis, risk management policies, risk criteria, risk tolerance guidelines and limits and risk monitoring on group-wide basis.

  • Manage the process of identifying and assessing risks affecting the business; review and comment on the organisation’s overall risk exposure; monitor, evaluate and challenge the organisation’s success in managing its risks.

  • Provide an independent view regarding proposed business plans and transactions – identify and assess risks associated with both new and existing businesses.

  • Integrate risk management with the strategy development process and assist in aligning risk management, internal audit, strategic planning and corporate performance.

  • Work with business units to establish, maintain and continuously improve risk management capabilities, provide support and education to the business lines and advising them on risks inherent in their respective business lines and new business initiatives.

  • Create a culture of intelligent risk-taking; heighten awareness of risk management practices through educational and training programmes with senior management.

  • Conduct risk management education and training from time to time with risk management fraternity.

  • Implement appropriate risk reporting to the GMD/CEO, Executive Committee, Board and senior management.


     


    Education.


  • Recognized Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Qualification or Master in Finance, Accountancy, Banking, Commerce, Business Studies, Economics, Law, Commerce or equivalent

  • Minimum of ten years man agerial experience in the field of business, credit and/or operational risk analysis & management or in another risk-related field
