Job Description

An Associate Partner assigned to this position is expected to have the proven experience and knowledge needed to develop new business opportunities, leading to client acceptance of IBM terms and conditions for services delivery. They must understand large and complex services engagements in their area of expertise, with a demonstrated expert knowledge of the appropriate methods and skills needed to solve business problems in the clients industry. They are expected to contribute to the growth of intellectual capital within their practice area and to support the development of other consultants through participation in mentoring or coaching activities. They are expected to establish trusted long-term relationships with clients through their ability to articulate solutions. They must develop strong and trusted relationships with other areas of IBM used in the delivery of complex services.

This position requires the skills needed to win client trust and confidence leading to the acceptance of new proposals in a manner that supports and reinforces business objectives within their area of practice. They are expected to identify new business opportunities, creatively participate in the development of solutions, and to provide strong assistance to IBM in the winning of that business. Must be familiar with the contractual requirements for their area of practice and be capable of drafting and reviewing responses to Requests for Information (RFI), responses to Requests for Proposal (RFP), IBM contracts, and IBM statements of work.

This position is required to be client-facing, assigned to the development of new opportunities and services proposals and client billable engagements. When not participating in new business development or bid and proposal activity, is expected to support and lead billable client activities within their area of practice and participate in related Sector, Solution Area, or Community activities.

Global knowledge sharing and management is key to IBMs success. Individuals will participate in, and/or be responsible for the creation, harvesting, protection and reuse of IBMs intellectual capital. They will participate actively in knowledge sharing activities like communities of practice, forums, conferences and/or other knowledge exchanges.

Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• The ability to integrate business and technology using regulatory and compliance to drive solutions and mitigate risk is required.

• Unified Communications skills

• Wide Area Network Implementation and Design Services

• Network Security Services

• CCIE

Other Requirements:

• Certification in one or more Cisco or Juniper Certifications

• At least 5 years working experience on Network Services
