about the role

In this role you will be reporting to the Assistant Accounts Manager. You will oversee the work of the Accounts Assistant (AP) and be responsible for the Accounts Payable and reporting functions for this organization. You will be working in a large team of 18 from 8.30am-5pm daily.

duties & responsibilities

• Handle AP functions of the company


• Assist in budgeting control and forecasting


• Ensure that accounting entries are posted in an accurate and timely matter


• Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting


• Prepare monthly tax reconciliation for GST submission


• Weekly collection for cashflow report


• Perform quality accounting review and facilitate continuous improvement


• Liase with external and internal auditors


• Oversee the work of Accounts Assistant – AP

skills & experience

• At least a Diploma majoring in Accounting and / or Finance, or other relevant disciplines


• Professional qualification such as ACCA / CPA / ICAEW / CIMA would be an added advantage


• Minimum 2 years of working experience in a AP and reporting


• Having experience in a shipping/freight forwarding industry would be an added advantage


• Good IFRS and Tax regulation knowledge


• Minimum 1 year ERP or SAP system experience


• Being sharp, diligent and mature in handling your work
