Farm Supervisor

Job Description:

Wilberforce Consultancy Sdn Bhd is seeking for a visionary, innovative and experienced Farm Supervisor to continue the firm’s fruit farm in Malaysia.
 
The supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day farm operation and overseeing the field staff. This position entails a wide-range of responsibilities including but are not limited to staff supervision, managing crop schedules and yearly planning with other senior management.
 
Duties and Responsibilities include:
Co-ordinating and supervising the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers
Establishing proper farming and operational procedures, maintaining production records and developing work schedules
Creating, monitoring, and operating the farm’s budget
Ensuring that farm activities comply with government regulations
Performing general farm duties such as preparing the soil, tilling, planting, fertilising and harvesting of crops
Applying health and safety standards across the farm
Maintaining a knowledge of pests, diseases, and understanding how to manage and actively look for solutions in resolving and treating those problems
Providing inputs on marketing of crops
 
The ideal candidate will possess:
Good understanding of crops and the use of proper crop planting techniques is required
Working knowledge and experience in commercial gardening would be an advantage
Effective people and management skills
Highly organised with attention to detail
High integrity, energy and enthusiasm who can work independently and a team player
