JOB SUMMARY
• Manage the Operational Risk Management function within the bank and cover all necessary
• aspects of Operational Risk such as Policy & Framework, Business Continuity Management and
• Monitoring and Control.
• Develop policies and framework in line with the bank’s Risk Management Framework, risk culture and appetite.
• Develop and review BCM plans and have in place monitoring control risk reporting systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensuring implementation and execution of the ORM Framework within their respective units.
• Aligning business plans and strategies to the overall ORM Framework.
• Creating awareness of the operational risk control environment within each business sectors at all levels.
• Ensuring the adequacy and cost-effectiveness of controls.
• Ensuring operational manuals and other key documents comprising policies regarding operating risks are in place.
• Assessing and managing the day-to-day operational risks in their respective sectors.
• Submitting reports to the operational risk management in the prescribed format and in the specified frequency.
• Complying operational risk management policies and regulations.
• Recommend improvements in systems and procedures for effective operational risk control.
PRE-REQUISITES
Minimum Academic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Accountancy, Mathematics, Statistic, Business or other related disciplines.
• Relevant Experience Required
• Preferably minimum 5 years’ experience in Credit Risk, Market Risk or Operational Risk Management, Business Continuity Management at an established financial services institution.
• Broad knowledge of the various market and liquidity risk management approaches and their application within the context of a holistic risk management framework.
• Good knowledge of a broad range banking products, risk management tools and techniques.
• Understand the Bank’s strategies and objectives, business model and banking financial landscape.
iii. Other Skills Required
• Strong analytical skills, interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience in dealing with the local regulatory body such as Bank Negara Malaysia in the subject matter.
• A team player with the ability to work independently.
