Lead Development Representative System HW - Thai Speaker - Petaling Jaya, SGR

Job Description

For over 100 years IBM has set the pace for innovation and we aren’t stopping now. With over 430,000 employees in almost 200 countries we’re always on the look out for new people to join in our mission to build a smarter planet.

Are you a skilled, proven sales or inside sales Representative looking to lead a new discipline within IBM sales and marketing integration?

This role will see you act as a leading agent to reach out to clients on behalf of IBM for the Server & Technology Group (STG). Reaching IT and C-suite audiences, you’ll work directly with high-value prospects/clients to build relationships, answer enquiries and position the IBM solutions portfolio. Your main targets will be SME businesses and large enterprise accounts across ISA. You’ll work collaboratively across marketing and sales calling contacts to discuss business environments, identify business priorities, determine the most appropriate IBM solution, and engage an appropriate IBM sales channel to own and close the deal.

A deep passion for IBM, and how it can provide complex products and services to help clients solve their business problems is paramount to success in this role. Strong knowledge of the data centre, server and storage infrastructure space or software experience is mandatory. Ideally you’ll be a seasoned business development representative, who has experience and is comfortable liaising with clients discussing the changing requirements of the IT department and how infrastructure plays a part in any decision process. Your understanding and business acumen around the social media channels, and social media research, will be an added advantage.

The responsibilities will include:

Managing detailed account lists

Working collaboratively with key sales teams on leads

Reaching out to SME’s and industry experts to answer client questions

Communicating/managing orderly hand-off of validated leads to ensure sales teams engage, and clients have a good IBM experience

Log/track progress of leads using marketing/sales automation tools (Siebel/Unica)

Working with a variety of communication channels including social media to prospect, research and connect with contacts

Training on key offers for IBM and continual learning on IBM’s latest offers, events and solutions

Manage/report success on real measures of engagement with clients and prospects

Skills Required:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills – including the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and have unstructured conversations without a script

Ability to have meaningful business discussions using ‘soft selling skills’

Consulting experience working directly with executive level clients.

Highly motivated, self-starter who can manage a variety of contacts systematically: qualifying them as the right contact, building IBM’s understanding of the client and their needs over time, and making sure their needs are met by the right part of IBM.

Prior experience working closely with busy executives will certainly be preferred

Min 3-5 years of IBM work experience with clients preferred

Perfect follow-up skills to assure timely response with all prospects and linking them to the best sales resource or offer

Understanding of IBM, HP, Dell, EMC & Oracle infrastructure offerings

Ability and persistence to overcome challenges to achieve your sales targets

A highly driven, self-motivated individual with the passion to succeed

This is a full time IBM sales role, with competitive base salary and opportunity to earn performance based additional compensation on a quarterly basis. You will be measured on validated pipeline, revenue and revenue yield each quarter as well as adherence to the mission of RLM, annually.
