M&E Design Engineer (high rise) - Kuala Lumpur

Our client is actively involved in exciting projects across Malaysia and is therefore seeking an experienced M&E Design Engineer with High Rise experience, to join them on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will have high rise experience and possibly also vertical transportation, sanitary plumbing, air conditioning or fire fighting.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide technical M&E design expertise for mostly high rise projects however also including hospitals, residential, mixed development, offices and infrastructure.
• Work within a team of engineers in mechanical/electrical services for the project from concept stage, design development, contract documentation, authority submissions, site administration to project completion
• Lead sectional project execution;
• Liaise with Client, Client’s Consultants, Contractor, and the Design Checker to obtain design approval.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS
• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or its equivalent recognized by the professional bodies of Malaysia;
• Minimum 7 years of relevant design experience (M&E) in the building services industry;
• Strong communication skills in English is essential.
• Experience in the design and coordination in high rise buildings.
