Join our Client involve in heavy machinery business, be the head of the project, need to have related experience dealing with project worth of US$1-10M.
the role
- Monitors, controls and reports on the project portfolio’s performance including profitability and associated KPIs.
- Conducts meetings, negotiations and updates with key project stakeholders as required to determine and resolve major issues.
- Support Project Managers with contractual issues and contract commercial negotiations as required.
- Conduct assessment, training and coaching of project managers and project staff to raise competency level in PM.
- Participates effectively with the Business Development Manager in technical and commercial aspects of bidding for crane upgrade projects.
- Review and update Project Management processes and tools to ensure continuous improvement of project delivery.
- Establish and conduct project audit and review programs for major projects.
- Conduct risk workshops and establish routine risk reviews for major projects and the portfolio.
- Establish and assist project managers establish procurement strategies and plans for project delivery.
- Participate in regular meetings with key customers and other stakeholders when requested by Project Manager.
- Hire, terminate and allocate project management resources to meet project portfolio resource requirements.
- Review and monitor project manager’s use of financial systems (ie. SAP) to ensure accuracy of data and reporting.
- Assist Project Managers in the conduct of project set up and establishment activities.
the experience
- Candidate with strong technical background, must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Construction/Project Management field or equivalent
- At least 10 years of experience in heavy industry business, 5 years of Project Management experience with commercial responsibility for project delivery (US$1-10M)
- Candidates with exposure in port industry would have added advantage
- Knowledge of SAP and ISO 9001 quality management system will be advantage
- Solid experienced in planning site works including of subcontract works & in managing small team of Project Managers, equipment and materials
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to liaise and work closely with local authorities, consultants and client representatives
- Effective commercial, contract management and negotiation skills
