about the role


It’s a permanent position that based at Petaling Jaya.The work required you to work from 8.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. You will be responsible to ensure the smooth and effective operations of the Warehouse Department. Subsequently will be also accountable to maintain proper store record, storage and maintain adequate stock level.


duties


  • To ensure goods / materials received are of the right specification, quantity and the same applies for the issuance of goods / materials to respective departments which are supplied timely as requested by the respective departments.

  • Responsible to maintain proper store records, proper storage and proper security precautions are undertaken for all goods / material in the Warehouse Department.

  • Determine proper storage methods, identification and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors and physical capabilities of the facilities.

  • To ensure accurate stock usage figures and stock records tally with the physical stock. A verification of inventory computations is conducted by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigates discrepancies.

  • Ensure that adequate stock levels of materials for the purpose of production is maintained. Proper identification and segregation of raw materials as according to inspection status and first in first out (FIFO) system.

  • To report on a daily basis on the stock level for steel coils and the same be reported to the immediate superior.

  • Verify the receipt of materials and issuance of materials is done via the manufacturing System.

  • To unload all materials / goods received and to check them against the order form.

  • To label the available items with storage details.

  • To monitor and highlight excess and / or shortage of stock of goods / materials.

  • To recommend disposal of excess, defective and / or obsolete stocks (if any).

skills & experience


  • Successfully candidate must possess at least a diploma Warehouse Management or any related field.

  • 3-5 years working experience in related field. Experience in Packaging industry will be added advantage.

  • Candidates need to possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact with all levels of management, clients, and vendors.

  • Strong planning and time management skills (be able to prioritize and multi-task)

  • Stress resistant

  • Team player as well as independent

  • Able to work independently and self –motivated.

  • Able to speak well in English and Malay. Mandarin will be added advantage.
