Job Description


The Senior Software Engineer position is responsible for playing a major role in ensuring that the technical procedures, tools and ultimately code produced is of a high caliber and fit for purpose. To Design and write programs in compliance with the program specification given and to

prepare appropriates unit and integration tests to ensure correct implementation of the

programs.


Key Responsibilities


  • Convert design into code fluently and have extensive experience in Core Java, Java EE

  • Responsibilities include Application Design, Development and Customization of a reporting Application.

  • Analysis of systems and requirements, and the design and builds of solutions to highly complex problems

  • Solving technical issues of high complexity with the best solution for given requirements

  • Lead, manage and/or support process improvement activities.

  • Implement IBM innovations

Qualifications


Required Skills: Java, AIX, DB2

Job Requirements:


  • Strong knowledge and experience on Java, Xml, Servlet, JSP, JMS, HTML, CSS, Java script,Ajax,DB2

  • Knowledge of IBM WebSphere Application Server and scripting

  • Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methods, processes and concepts such as Scrum, Agile, iterative and incremental development

  • Strong understanding of web technology

  • Must be a team player with excellent inter-personal skills

  • Must be a self-starter and highly motivated

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Ability to articulate a problem and translate it into a written report

  • Excellent problem analysis, troubleshooting and resolution skills

  • Good in strategic and tactical thinking/decision making execution

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
