Job Purpose

Financial Accounting

• Preparation of monthly and year­end financial statement.


• Assist in group quarterly, year­end consolidation, & handle full set accounts


• Ensure timely month­end closing and prepare financial reports (Trial Balance, Profit and Loss Account, cashflow and etc) maintain budget monitoring excel file (support the team in doing the monthly update)and support the analysis and explanation of financial performance


• Manage company’s financial accounting process and ensure compliance with accounting standards and practices.


• Ensure compliance with internal process guidelines and Statutory requirements,


• Co­ordinate yearly audits with internal and external parties for the preparation of the final accounts. Maintain budget monitoring excel file (support the team in doing the monthly update)


• Assist in any other financial matters when assigned

Group Consolidation

• Preparation of complete and accurate consolidated results prepared under US GAAP in accordance with established reporting deadlines.


• Acting as a key contact for Finance Operations teams and Local Operating Companies to address any queries or issues with reporting into the Group Reporting team in HFM in accordance with the Shire Group Controllers Manual;


• Reviewing source data submitted by reporting units ensuring accurate input of data into the consolidation system;


• Preparing consolidation journals;


• Obtaining explanations and resolving unusual month on month variances;


• Ensuring appropriate elimination of intercompany transactions and balances on a consolidated basis; and


• Preparing consolidation reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of issues arising from analysis of results;


• Preparing the group’s consolidated reserves reconciliation

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma , Bachelor’s Degree or Professional qualification in accounting (ACCA/CIMA/MICPA) Minimum 3 years of working experience.


• Experience in listed companies and external or internal audit will be added advantage.


• Familiar with financial reporting, regulatory & tax issues in Malaysia and Singapore.


• Preferably specializing in Financial/Cost Accounting or equivalent.


• Required software skill: Excel and Word Preferable possess own transport.
