As a Commerce Solutions Sales Specialist your role is to successfully create and close sales opportunities for IBM Commerce Software. The Sales Professional will utilize knowledge of industry segment processes and challenges to successfully position and sell Commerce solutions. Commerce Solutions have three product pillars: Commerce, B2B Business Solutions and Emptoris Procurement Solutions.

The ideal candidate for this position should have relevant experience and success of selling similar or competing software in the market place. The candidate should also have domain experience with either the solution itself, a similar solution offered by a direct competitor, business partner or System Integrator.


The B2B Business Solutions are designed to allow our customers to collaborate with business partners across any channel, with any system and any protocol. Managed File Transfer and Sterling Integrator provide the robust scalable and secure collaboration tools for Banks, Telcos, Manufacturers and many other industries.


IBM Payments solutions enable banks to get deeper control and visibility of payment transactions across the whole bank. IBM Payment Gateway on cloud enables commercial organisations such as retailers or telcos trade securely across borders with multiple payment options.


The Commerce Solutions enable our customers to deliver a seamless, omni-channel and relevant experience to their customers regardless of channel or device throughout the entire customer journey. Commerce solutions from IBM provide a unified approach to managing, evolving digital and physical channels and:

– Enhance the customer shopping experience for seamless, positive sales.

Manage evolving channels and interaction points across Web & Mobile commerce, social or physical channels.


The Emptoris Strategic procurement suite provides a comprehensive platform for procurement transformation and unlock tremendous value. It provides Supplier Lifecycle Management, Spend and Category Analysis, Sourcing and Contract Management, Telco and Services Expense Management for a comprehensive 360 view of the procurement operation.


This country role will represent the value of IBMs Commerce solutions into the enterprise market across Malaysia and IBMs Commerce solutions and will build on our 3,000+ global clients including many major companies in Asia. You will use your solid experience in selling through key line of business executives in Banking, Retail, Telco, CPG or Logistics and work with our key Business Partners and Global Systems integrators to tailor to client’s specific business needs and beat the competition. If you are a driven sales professional ready to challenge the norms with senior executives, we need you to take our Commerce Sales to the next level of achievement.


Key Responsibilities:

– Maintain and share a clear point of view on best practice in Commerce Solutions

– Achieve/exceed revenue quotas on a consistent basis

– Build strong relationships with key Line of Business executives and influencers in key target accounts.

– Develop and execute against your business plan to achieve objectives and provide accurate forecasting.

– Identify and qualify prospective customers and progress opportunities through the pipeline

– Effectively direct the huge resources at your disposal in; pre-sales technical specialists, product specialists, inside sales and our business partner organization.

– Win new clients through your sales acumen and ability to team with others


Key Attributes/skills:

– Proven business acumen, with the ability to position solution Return on Investment (ROI)

– Experience with Business to Consumer (B2C) and Business to Business (B2B) Commerce solutions

– Executive level sales experience a must

-Ability to build consistent new revenue pipeline and interface within a multi-brand sales organization

– Commitment to stay current with industry/sector trends

– Proven experience to articulate, define and execute creative strategies to grow the IBM Commerce business and reach new markets

Qualifications


* At least 5 years of successful experience in enterprise software sales

* Significant experience in enterprise software sales in Retail, Distribution, Consumer Goods, Financial

Services Sector and logistic / distribution sectors

* Ability to provide insight to business leaders in at least one of the above industries

* Strong territory planning and territory management skill

* An outstanding ability to understand business problems and articulate a corresponding solution based on

IBM software.
