Electrical Resident Engineer - Kuala Lumpur

My client is a Sub Contractor who has assembled a team of trusted and experienced professionals who can provide reliable and essential services to companies of all sizes. They have established themsleves as one of the leading privately owned electrical and mechanical service providers in the country.

Due to a major increase in business we are seeking an experienced Electrical Resident Engineer or Project Manager to be based at the site.

The role –

The successful candidate will be based on site involved in planning, managing and ensuring smooth implementation and monitoring of projects assigned from inception to completion within the specific time frame and desired quality.

Duties will include –

• Attend site meetings when required.


• To ensure engineers and supervisors making their daily inspection of the whole site.


• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and relevant government authorities to achieve project objectives.


• Monitor and follow up on the progress of works.


• Planning of site activites and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure smooth and effective daily operations.


• Ensure quality control via quality management system.


• Assign supervisors to check and verify site requisitions on materials.


• Control overall cost and wastages at site.

Requirements for this position are –

• Degree in Electrical & Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years working experience in Construction & Engineering industry.


• Leadership qualities, good management and communication skills.


• High analytical thinking and problem solving.


• Must have ability to lead a project team for execution of all site activities.


• Able to work independently.
