A European Oil/Gas company with global presence, the company is looking for a finance lead/Manager to helm operations for their finance team , a contract role but every bit possible for it to be converted to permanent after 12months.
the role
To work closely with the Regional Controller-Asia in overseeing the operations of the Malaysian Finance team and to ensure all reporting deadlines to Regional and HQ are met.
To manage and work with the Finance team on daily activities of the Finance/Accounting department

To provide assistance and support to the Regional Controller (ASIA & APAC).
Your profile
- Actively lead and provide guidance and advice to the Finance team, including AP and AR. Supervise and monitor the performance of the team to ensure that month end reporting deadlines and deliverables are met.
- Proactively supports the GM, FC and SLM in delivering improvement to DSO performance, margin protection and cost control.
- Performing/reviewing projects month end close out ensuring that all accounting entries (revenue and costs) are processed in time for period close.
- Report financial performance to senior management including variance analysis, AR, DSO, accruals and unbilled, and Group Hyperion reporting.
- Prepare/review management and project financial reports ensuring information presented is accurate and timely.
- Review/manage payments, invoicing, Intercompany transactions, and account reconciliations and cash flow.
- Preparation of annual budget and forecast in conjunction with senior management
- Good organizational, supervisory, and planning skills – deadline driven.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills dealing with internal and
external clients. - Organised and attention to details are highly important.
- High sense of responsibility, integrity, ethics and honesty.
- Good interpersonal and and communication skills.
- Fully competent with MS Office (Microsoft Excel) , Hyperion, and SAGE
accounting system. - Demonstrated ability to be flexible, self-motivated and show high levels of
initiative. - Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and complete assignments ontime
as directed.
