The role


You will be confident in your abilities and have prior, recent experience on leading high value projects and have an up to date knowledge of the industry and the expectations involved. You will have to lead the operation team. You will be given full autonomy.


Duties


Our client is looking for a highly driven Operation Manager with strong focus on project delivery and profitability to be based in Selangor.


  • Plan, organise, direct and run optimum day­to­day operations to exceed our customers expectations.

  • Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimising unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards

  • Be responsible for production output, product quality and on­time delivery, ensure that delivery schedules are followed accurately.

  • Have to plan production activities, production meetings, and machine maintaining schedules, worker schedules and budget maintenance schedules and quality of products.

  • The whole industrial production has to be managed by operation manager, or they have to take care of all the features associated with a particular plant department. communicate with other departments or parts of the plant to make sure everything runs smoothly.

  • Must be able to speak with employees, other department managers and senior management.

  • Must be able to motivate employees to keep operations running smoothly. Shift and on­call work may be required, particularly where manufacturing/production is in continual long hour operation.

Skills & Experience


The successful candidate will have experience and knowledge within the Malaysian FMCG industry and must be able to show the following:


  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Food Technology or any related field.

  • At least 10 years’ of working experience in manufacturing management.

  • English & Bahasa Malaysia

  • Manufacturing operations.

  • In-depth knowledge of the functional area.

  • Strong leadership and ability to command the team to work together to achieve management’s goal.

  • Strong communication skills to engage and influence stakeholders across functional levels are required.
