Job Description


The PSP serves as a single point of contact (SPOC) for ANZ projects/accounts/management and supports end-to-end staffing needs. The PSP focuses on end-to-end fulfilment of specifically assigned open seats, staffing open seats for all resource channels and executing supporting administrative needs.

Includes updating, maintaining and ensuring integrity of data in all R&CM tools in accordance with set standards and guidelines.

Provides support and assistance to other Resource Managers, and the wider R&CM team including administrative tasks and producing regular and ad hoc reports/analysis of resource management metrics as required.

Supports process and controls compliance

To identify and assign resources to chargeable, internal, and bid and proposal opportunities based on specific skills and experience requirements, in order to:

o Efficiently and effectively meet client resource demand requests

o Optimise employee deployment


· To manage roles through the hiring process where we have been unable to identify internal re-deployments.


Note: This position mainly resources non-contractors however will assign spare capacity to
other current resources which may include contractors.

Position Summary and Responsibilities:

The Resource & Capacity Management (R&CM) Specialist uses knowledge of and experience with global resource processes and tools to ensure that project resource needs are met and that revenue and profit are maximized.


Works with project and account teams and works with IBM business leaders to align resource capacity with business strategies. Focus is on meeting utilization and financial targets through the optimal use of all resource channels, including IBM regulars, global delivery resources, and subcontractors.


Expertly uses MTRAC, R&CM tools and processes to achieve the business’s R&CM requirements.


Requires strong analytical and data management skills.


Interprets data to anticipate future business demand, to align financially affordable capacity to business needs, and to satisfy project staffing needs.


Interpret, analyse and provide workforce data to the competency or cluster on employee assignments, open and closed seats or roles and available employees, in order to assist them to effectively manage their workforce

Manage all roles in detail that have not used internal practitioners. Work with the variable team (contractor hires) and recruitment to ensure roles are being sourced in a timely manner. Make sure Managers are maintaining focus on the roles.

Optimise deployment for the aligned competency/cluster by educating employees on mandated WFM policies, which will drive the timeliness and accuracy of data available to the RDM

Contributes to various status reports to business leadership and organization management.

Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.

  • Project Staffing: Provides leadership for finding resources for projects and for managing Regular and subcontractor demand and fulfillment.

  • Capacity Management: Manages aggregate supply and demand.

  • Assist and support the accounts to meet their business and delivery objectives by engaging and deploying resources as efficiently as possible
