Quantity Surveyor

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Attend site meetings


• Invite and negotiate with subcontractors for preparation of subcontract award comparison.


• Prepare Letter of Award to Subcontractors.


• Prepare subcontractor’s Certificate of Payment including dayworks if applicable.


• To ensure items and quantities claimed by the subcontractor are in accordance to contract awarded and the actual work done at the site by referring to Site Agent / Project Manager Comments.


• To verify the Daywork claims submitted by the Site Agent and ensure that back-charges is carried out accordingly.


• Prepare for material Sample Submission and follow up on approval.


• Submit variation order quotation, claim and follow up for certification by Consultant / Client.


• Draft contractual correspondence


• Review Contract documents.


• Verify subcontractor’s Certificate of Payment.


• To attend joint evaluation of progress claim with Senior if necessary.


• To carry out joint site measurement with sub-contractors.


• Perform other duties as and when required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree or Higher in related field.


• Strong analytical and able to work in fast pace environment.


• Possess strong oral and communication skills.


• Ability to plan and control cost effectively.


• Candidate with ability to communicate in Mandarin will have added advantage.


• Must be willing to work according to site working hours.
