Japanese Cuisine Chef

At the moment we’re looking for a Japanese Cuisine Chef to join our dynamic and enthusiasticteam in our 5* luxury city centre hotel. This role manages all kitchen operations including Stewarding operations with an emphasis on maintaining hygienic standards and practices, staff training, and overseeing the preparation and presentation of a consistent food product which meets customer’s expectations. You’ll be diligent and adhere to local regulations concerning health, safety, or other compliance requirements, as well as brand standards and local policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will be a hands on leader with the ability to positively coach and motivate the team to success.

Qualifications
- Ideally, you’ll have Degree or Vocational Certificate in Culinary Skills or related field
- 5 years experience in a similar capacity, with at least 2 years in a leadership role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Coupled with experience working with Japanese pastry, bakery, butchery, commisary, a la carte, banquet and buffet styles is essential.
