Our client is a global MNC within the industrial automation industry servicing segments including petrochemical, energy and broader industrial. Currently, they are in search for a Sales Manager to support their business focus within the OEM market here in Malaysia.
about the job
You are accountable for managing the sale of products and solutions through OEM customers, resolving partner conflict, and identifies or resolves distributor performance issues working with the Regional Sales Manager. You are responsible for maintaining effective distributor management team relationships including being the primary contact for focus accounts by distributor management team.
Key responsibilities involves:
- Responsible for managing domain experts to include: Performance Management, goal planning, compensation, coaching and feedback on an ongoing basis.
- Responsible for effectively communicating and collaborating with the district management team and corporate management regarding territory dynamics, performance and sales opportunities.
- Responsible for Strategic Planning for OEM accounts with other parts of the organization (such as the Sales and Marketing Operations team, the Industry and OEM teams and Distribution).
- Manages Selling Process with sales engineers and distributors to ensure sufficient opportunities exist to achieve or exceed annual sales goals.
- To develops strategies and plans to create new opportunities through local and national marketing programs, target accounts, and other activities that create demand.
- Participates in productive distributor meetings with territory sales management that focus account planning, account collaboration, commercial programs and product launches.
- Engages at key OEM customers and opportunities to ensure the company best chance for success. Manage target account conversions from commitment to cash.
- Analyze local market information and provide ongoing local market intelligence, monthly sales activity reports, forecasting and ad-hoc feedback.
skills and experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other related technical field or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of five years direct and channels sales experience leading a sales team, preferably in an OEM Customer environment.
- Experience with channel collaboration and distributor sales management and relationship building.
