Civil Engineer - Piling

Support the Head of Civil Site Manangement (HQ) on a range of issues including but not limited to:
Work with suppliers and the Regulator to ensure licensing and permitting requirements are met.
Review documents supplied by subcontractors and other suppliers.
Execute duties as a champion of best practice in regards to HSE.
Provide support to the licensing and permitting process.
Leadthe Site Development and other directorates in relation to works at site.
Assist in the development of local procedures and working arrangements for the civil engineering discipline.

Knowledge And Skills:

An engineering, mathematics or physics qualification to degree level.

Chartered engineer status is preferred.

Significant experience of delivering significant achievements within a similar role with previous experience in power generation / heavy industrial projects preferred.

Experience in analysis (model specification, development, control, checking and review) for structural (static/dynamic) and or hydrological assessment combined with a fundamental understanding of modelling principals and numerical challenges to apply to other scenarios.

Experience in specifying, developing, checking, and reviewing simple and complex dynamic modelling
Demonstrable knowledge and understanding across a broad range of power plant engineering issues is essential
Experience in complex engineering and design projects
Experience of building surveys and investigation would be desirable
Experience of maintenance and repair of structures would be desirable
Experience of threat assessment and development of schemes to withstand blast and or impact loads would be desirable
Project/engineering management skills and the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
Experience within the nuclear sector and knowledge of international nuclear/conventional codes and standards is desirable.
