About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Vice President, Finance is responsible for supporting the Bank’s strategy in it’s next phase of growth. Additionally the successful candidate will ensure reliability and accuracy of the financial data for both local and Group needs which involves ensuring compliance with legislation and regulation, notably for Accounting, Tax and Legal areas.
 
Duties & Responsibilities


  • Manage and develop a smooth running Finance department.

  • Manage Financial and Management reporting, measurement and monitoring of business performance, expenses and financial controls

  • Ensure operational adherence to regulatory compliance, accounting norms (IFRS) and best practices with regards to conventional and Islamic Banking 

  • Keep abreast of regulatory changes with the necessary authorities

  • Liaise with internal and external auditors as well as all local regulatory bodies as required.

  • Implement all the controls in the Finance area applying BNPP Group standards in terms of Permanent Control

  • Develop and update department operational process descriptions and procedures

  • Be responsible for managing part of tax risk issues related to production tasks in coordination with the Regional Tax department

  • Participate as necessary in different management committee meetings

 
Skills & Experience

  • Qualified Accountant with at least 15 years of relevant working experience

  • Experience in the Financial Services industry is mandatory

  • Excellent communication skills and command of English

  • High level of integrity, commitment and a good team player

  • Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to think out of the box

  • Good leadership and people management skills
