An International MNC in the manufacturing industry operating in more than 200 countries is looking for a Managemenet Accountant to join their team.
about the job
- Provide leadership and direction for the Manufacturing Finance cost accounting function.
- Maintain, develop and ensure compliance with inventory control systems. This covers areas of (but not limited to) work order control and closure, consumption variances, cycle counting and control oversight.
- Ensure full compliance with Corporate Governance and SOX requirements and ensure areas for development are enhanced.
- Ensure the maintenance of the standard costing system, including material costs, outside processing, labour and overhead rates.
- Ensure all manufacturing journals including month-end accruals are processed, and General Ledger balances are reconciled and confirmed in conjunction with the Manufacturing Finance Team.
- Prepare Inventory reconciliation and inventory packs, and ensure all the adjustment journals are processed before the period closure.
- Assist and ensure the timely completion of the manufacturing month end process.
- Prepare weekly Manufacturing Efficiency reports and monthly Production reports, and ensuring accurate and timely outputs
- Prepare Departmental expense reports, and assist Managers in cost control as required.

The Senior Manager is a dedicated individual with a solid amount of experience. You will also be required to report to the Senior Manager and work with the team and support them.
skills & experience required
- Financial experience with at least 5 years commercial involvement Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Bachelor Degree, CPA/CA Qualified CPA/CA Qualified
- Worked with concepts of internal control and applied these in a commercial manufacturing environment.
- Strong cost accounting background.
- Solid understanding of SOX controls and audit
- Good oral and written communication skills (including English)
Preferred
- Oracle ERP experience
- Exposure to Supply Chain Operations
