About Our Client
  
Our client is a local bank seeking an enterprising Senior Accountant.  With the expansion of the business in the banking industry, they are currently looking for an experience accountant to be part of their team, leading strategy and building on the strategy of the company.

About the Role

• Managing and controlling the overall Bank’s account and data integrity to ensure reliability and accuracy of information.


• Monitoring and ensure the delivery timelines.


• Plan, strategize and execute effective plans to ensure maximum competitive advantages and cost effectiveness. and to improvise division processes.


• Ensure the compliance of statutory requirement, policies, procedures and accounting standards.


• Supervises and control Bank’s central receiving and payments and ensuring timely completion.


• Monitoring the Tax and Zakat computation and compliance to statutory requirements and accounting principles.


• Handling external auditors and matters related to financial audit.


• Control and monitoring General Ledger, Accounts Payables and Fixed Assets system and ensuring the data reliability. Monitoring and controlling back-office treasury processing and settlement.


• Ensure Head Quarters, hubs and branches accounts are continuously monitored and supervised. 


• Responsible to conduct training/seminar/meetings internally and externally as required.


• Represent division for all other new projects and oversees future requirements.


• Corporate, initiate and implement continuous improvement processes and ensure sustenance for continuous achievement of divisional goal, quality objective and mission.


• Undertake duties as and when necessary by request of authorized personnel.  

To be a Successful Candidate
  

• To be a successful candidate, you need to possess:


• At least a Degree majoring in Accounting and / or Finance, or other relevant discipline


• Professional qualification such as ACCA / CPA / ICAEW / CIMA would be an added advantag


• Able to work within the tight deadlines and dynamic environment


• Able to write and speak fluently in English and Malay


• Able to work independently and also as a team player


• Being sharp, diligent and mature in handling your work
