The client we are helping is a world leader in the production of construction chemicals such as silica and silicon. They are a global business with plants and sales offices across the world. Their business units are within oil & gas, construction, refractories and polymers, and they are a specialist in the production of microsilica and silicon.

about the job

Due to growth in Southeast Asia, the company has two new positions to be based in Malaysia and Indonesia (preferably KL and Jakarta, though this be flexible).

These are new positions and would initially be based in a home office environment with the full support of the company.

These two positions are business development positions where you would be responsible for the promotion of the company’s construction chemicals products. Clients will be a mixture of readymix companies, endusers and precast companies.

This role will require an independent and creative person who can build a business in its initial stages and work independently in a greenfielf sales environment.

skills and experience required

These roles will both require people based on the ground in the respective sales territories and with extensive local knowledge of potential clients and commercial trends.

The right person will be a self-starter with prior experience in ready-mix, pre-cast concrete, concrete admixtures or other related building materials.

As well as commerical acumen and sales ability, technical knowledge of the above construction materials will be required. The person should be qualified in civil, construction or structural engineering.
