Our Client is one of the top ten Engineering Consultancy firms in Malaysia with over 100 people in the Engineering division. Delivering over a large valued projects, they have had a very strong project pipeline. This coming year, they will be witnessing many more projects.

about the role:

Our client is looking to hire a very senior Bridge Design Specialist for the position of Head of the Bridge Department. You would be responsible for managing and leading the entire department of bridge and overseeing high valued bridge projects.

The role requires a strong ‘hands on’ approach and the ability to apply professional engineering knowledge and experience to deliver particularly Cost Efficient Bridge/Rail Projects.

duties:

• Lead and manage the Bridge Department.


• Review and analyse the detailed design of bridge projects.


• Coordinate and supervise a wide variety of bridge related projects and oversee projects from the start to the finish.


• Schedule and coordinate the project related work in order to meet the design specification.


• Ensure the project delivery is on time and within budget


• Requires to deal with Authorities and clients.


• Check and endorse the bridge design and drawings.

skills & experience:

• Must have over 15 years of experience in Bridge work.


• Must possess construction supervision experience along with detailed design work.


• Must possess Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering or equivalent but Masters in Civil Engineering or equivalent is also preferred.


• Must be a registered Professional Engineer.


• Site experience is very much preferred.


• Able to manage and lead the team, hence possessing good team management skills.
