About the Role

Client is looking for someone with Netbackup Administration expetience in the enterprise environment

Duties:

• Unix knowledge to manage NetBackup master servers.


• Setup, configure and manage NetBackup server/client and tape libraries.


• Set up, configure and manage DataDomain/NetBackup appliance.


• Manage NDMP, Oracle, Exchange,SQL, DB2 backups.


• Hands-on Knowledge NetApp SMVI (SnapManager for Virtual Infrastructure)


• Hands-on Knowledge on NetApp OSSV (Open System SnapVault)


• Hands-on Knowledge on APTARE StorageConsole Backup Manager


• Monitor daily NetBackup, BackupExec & Arcserve activity and reporting to proactively avoid issues.


• Modify and optimize backup schedules.


• Improve automation and productivity of backups through scripting enhancements.


• Troubleshoot and resolve missed and failed NetBackup backups


• Processing of tapes for offsite storage.


• Update NetBackup policies and procedures.


• Advanced trouble shooting skills and identify the severity of the issue, Ability to Resolving issues quickly to account/customer satisfaction and Prepare RCA.


• Provide operational support on a 24×7 rotation basis.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 4 to 6 years’ experience in Veritas NetBackup, BackupExec & Arcserve Backup tool.


• ITIL knowledge is an advantage


• Possess Diploma/Bachelors Degree or relevent experience
