Job Description
1. Tape storage and transfer management
– PSM role (tape media librarian)
– to perform ad-hoc tape/box request from customer
– to prepare and record movement of tapes/boxes on daily and weekly basis
– to mount and unmount tape(s) to/from Sunlife AS8 tape library
– to assist Time Run personnel to access BCRS tape room on weekend/public holiday
2. Asset inventory management
– asset inventory to be performed twice a year
– to record equipment movement in BCRS Plaza IBM
3. ISO process and audit
– to attend monthly ISO meeting
– to prepare documentation for internal and external audit
– to provide data/input to ISO team on monthly basis
– to attend ISO internal and external audit
4. Disaster Recovery test support
– to respond to customer email on matter related to DR test
– to manage DR test scheduling
– to perform DR test equipment preparation
+ server setup (iSeries, pSeries & xSeries/Wintel/Unix/Citrix/VM server) and pre test
+ network setup and pre test
+ user PCs setup and pre test
– to support customers server restoration
– to troubleshoot server/network/PC and escalate to support team if needed
– on-site standby support during DR test activity (weekend, public holiday and night time)
– to be on-site during actual Disaster Recovery
5. Data Center operation and support
– to manage, prepare and distribute temporary access card to customer during DR test activity and to request reactivation of the temporary access cards from security department
– to manage BCRS conference room booking
– respond to customer email on matter related to BCRS Plaza IBM Data Center
– to liaise with OFFICE team on any issue regarding Data Center infrastructure (power, air-cond, etc)
– on-site standby support during annual power shutdown maintenance
– to assist Team Lead on Data Center operation matter
– to assist sales team on potential customer engagement and existing contract renewal
– to ensure and monitor internet line, BRI lines and TIME leased line to BNM are in working condition
– to maintain internal network for daily usage
