EAL Support Teacher or Coordinator - Malaysia

Contract: 2 Years (renewable)

An International School in Malaysia is looking for an EAL Support Teacher or Coordinator. You will lead a team of teachers and assistant teachers to support EAL needs across both Primary and Secondary sections of the School. You are expected to uphold the School’s Vision, Mission and Core Values.

One of your roles will be to teach EAL (sheltered) classes in Key Stages 3 and 4. You will also support teachers in differentiating for EAL in the mainstream classroom.

You will deliver INSET/training to staff as part of the CPD programme and assist the School with developing EAL provision.

REQUIREMENTS

Deliver INSET/training to staff as part of the CPD programme.

To teach EAL (sheltered) classes in Key Stages 3 and 4.

Possess excellent time management, communication and people skills.

To lead a team of teachers and assistants to support EAL needs across both Primary and Secondary sections of the School.

Familiarity of IGCSE 2nd Language English would be an asset

Sound knowledge and practice of the Early Years’ Curriculum for England, particularly in EAL.

Familiar with current curriculum development and current educational thinking
