About the role
As a Manager, Finance & Accounting, you will be responsible for managing and supervising financial matters for the bank, including general accounting, financial reporting and analysis, internal controls, budgeting and forecasting. There will be approximately 10 direct reports and you will report directly to the Finance Director.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure that statutory financial statements and annual accounts are prepared in a timely and accurate manner, and in accordance with statutory requirements and accounting standards


• Ensure that the daily accounting general ledger functions are properly carried out.


• Manage the submission of reports to related regulatory bodies as well as management for assisting in effective business decision making in the Subsidiary.


• Be familiar with the operations of business activities of the Bank


• Define accounting models and develop, implement and monitor policies and procedures


• Develop and maintain external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. Bankers, Auditors, Administrators and Regulatory bodies.


• Liaise with internal auditors on internal audit and control matters

Skills & Experience

• Strong working knowledge on Malaysian and International accounting and financial reporting standards


• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance and/ or professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA or equivalent


• Minimum 5 years of experience in the banking industry Strong background with fixed income and equity securities


• External audit experience in a Big 4 accounting firm would be an advantage


• Fluency in spoken and written Mandarin is mandatory
