Purchasing Specialist

Job Role
§  Responsible for purchasing items from principal, distributors, suppliers and retailers based on the lowest price available, most beneficial terms from the best source possible
§  Updating Product Management system with the latest updated price received from principal, distributor, supplier and retailers
§  Prepare Purchase Orders to suppliers before making purchase or requesting supplier to send items
§  Prepare other documents such as Invoices, Purchase Reports, Margin Calculation Report etc
§  Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates in order to determine the best bid among potential suppliers.
§  Maintain records of goods ordered and received.
§  Liaise with Finance department on prompt payment to suppliers
§  Maintain good relationship with principal, distributors, suppliers and retailers to get updates on products, market trend, and new upcoming product launches etc.
 
Job Requirement
§  SPM, Diploma or equivalent qualification(s)
§  Minimum 1 year of experience working in an e-commerce / retail industry
§  Ability to handle multiple tasks and function in a fast paced work environment
§  Logical thinker: proclivity to raise questions about things that do not seem to make sense, are inconsistent with other things you have knowledge of, and/or working against stated objectives
§  Organized and systematic in handling and managing documents
§  Strong work ethic, self-starter, and the ability to move projects forward independently
§  Team-player and passionate in contributing to job requirement
§  Must possess a valid driver’s license and own vehicle
§  Availability: Immediate
§  Prefer Chinese speaking candidate
 
 
Job location: Petaling Jaya
Salary range between RM1,000 and RM2,500 depending on candidate’s experience and qualification.
