Retail Operation Manager

Operations Manager –  Retail, Malaysia
The Operations Manager will be responsible for the retail operations of Company Retail, ensuring that all key financial & non-financial objectives are met. Other responsibilities will include the effective attraction, retention and coaching of talented employee, providing the motivation for increased sales and customer service levels. You will be a superior business intellect, responding quickly and effectively to marketplace dynamics by creating strategies that will ensure company’s continues success.
 
Primary Responsibilities
  • Make sure mutually agreed monthly/quarterly/annual Sales Targets are achieved.

  • Make sure Net Operating Profit per location and per Brand is as per plan.

  • Make sure all KPIs are measured and maintained as per agreed plan.

  • Evaluate and implement appropriate Sales Techniques to increase the team’s sales volume.

  • Coach and Mentor staff to optimize operational opportunity.

  • Manage sales activity for consistent results within company operational standards. Review and coach sales activities.

  • Identify new retail locations and deal with the Malls for the same

  • Participate in business development activities throughout market.

  • Work closely with operations team to ensure a high level of customer service.

  • Manage and Motivate team to increase sales and ensure efficiency;

  • Manage stock levels and make key decisions about stock control;

  • Deal with staffing issues such as interviewing potential staff, conducting appraisals and performance reviews, as well as providing or organizing training and development.

  • Maintain awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring what local competitors are doing;

 
Requirements


  • 5 – 7 years in Management in Retail/Distribution or similar operations.

  • Strong sales and oral communication skills with interpersonal skills required.

  • Must be able to manage staff and work well in a team environment.

  • Knowledge of retail selling techniques and strategies.

  • Solid working knowledge of retail product pricing

  • Must be a self-starter and self-motivated to meet job expectations and operational goals.

  • Must be able to thrive in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.

  • Must be able to make decisive and accurate decisions.

  • Must have the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities without sacrificing profitability.

  • Ability to use MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-Windows, MS-Outlook and the internet effectively
