about the company
We are recruiting a Commercial Director for an award winning consultancy – you will be based on site with one of their clients who have been awarded a huge contract linked to the MRT. The culture of the business is based on honesty, integrity and core family values. about the role
Taking ownership of the all commercial aspects of the project including administration of the head contract and subcontracts, you will develop procurement strategies and processes, as well as outlining cost controls, budgets and manage project cash flow.

• Manage subcontract packages, scopes & lettings, procurement schedules and assist with head contract, progress claims, delay claims & external variations


• Be proficient in all contractual matters and have the ability to communicate this knowledge in a practical and meaningful way to the project team


• Provide outstanding client service and utilise your expert communication and negotiation skills to foster the client relationship


• Manage project expenditure, reviewing and processing all subcontractor claims and creditor invoices

skills & responsibilities

• Quantity Surveying Degree preferred.


• Strong commercial experience within the construction industry.


• 10 years + demonstrated experience as a Commercial Manager on a Civil Project


• Demonstrated experience and understanding of contract law


• Technical knowledgeable in commercial, contract and risk management


• Extensive contracts negotiation and claims management experience.


• Rail project / RICS / Consultancy experience advantageous
