My client is an ambitious Engineering Consultancy company with numerous projects and more set to begin. They have worked on many high profile projects here in Malaysia, South East Asia, the Middle East, Australia and Europe.

The role and duties are to focus and develop the MEP side of the business and to –

• Manage site issues and contractor proposals, mostly on electrical design.


• Interface with the Senior Management of the company to develop and agree on bid strategies for various project scopes.


• Manage the day to day work of the MEP team.


• Where required, prepare technical clarifications to the tendered design to suit specific on-site construction and co-ordination issues.


• Review contractors mechanical services material proposals against technical performance requirements and advise the Project Director on the appropriateness of the proposals.


• Chair MEP design team meetings.


• Advise the Project Director of any technical aspects of the mechanical services that may affect construction progress.

Skills and experience required –

• Extensive experience of leading an MEP team.


• Knowledge and experience of Building Services.


• Site coordination with various departments for getting work done.


• Coordinate with service providers for the routine and breakdown services.


• Experience in taking responsibility on Electrical related work.
