Brand Marketing Manager






Position Description

Responsibilities


  • Reporting to the Head of Marketing, Southeast Asia, you will oversee all Expedia Brand activities in Malaysia

  • Analyze market trends and develop the Brand strategy for short, medium and long term

  • Formulate the brand value proposition for consumers in Malaysia and take the lead in building the brand in Malaysia

  • Build strong in-market brand team to deliver the budgeted revenue and financial goals for Malaysia

  • Drive Brand visitors traffic and transactions for Malaysia with an eagle eye on Brand performance, measurements and ROIs

  • Be the domain expert on local and international marketing mediums to optimize campaigns and utilization

  • Manage local/regional agencies for various engagements and develop agency management framework

  • Identify and leverage synergies across affiliates and teams to develop integrated local and regional marketing campaigns

  • Work with PR, social and creative teams to define the brand personality and communication tone

  • Build best in class brand marketing frameworks, practices and processes in Malaysia

  • Liaise with regional brand marketing organization on best practices and share campaign ideas and results with regional/global teams on a regular basis

  • Provide expert advice to the Head of Marketing and General Manager on brand marketing and be the internal ambassador for brand marketing

  • Establish strong relationship with cross-functional stakeholders and external partners to deliver the marketing initiatives

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related discipline.

  • At least 8 years working experience in the marketing, preferably in FMCG, travel, hospitality or ecommerce any online business.

  • A successful track record of developing and implementing brands strategies across countries as well as directing local/regional marketing campaigns

  • Strong understand of digital marketing and experience in implementing digital strategies

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, both tactical and strategic in nature – achieving both time and budgetary deadlines

  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to understand business financials

  • Excellent people management skills and able to communicate and work effectively with stakeholders at all levels

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure in a challenging environment

  • Possess personal traits that’s friendly, mature, humble, honest, meticulous; self-starter; able to perform under pressure in a challenging environment

  • Ability to maintain high confidentiality, tactful and discretion when dealing with people

  • Able to travel as and when it is required
