the role

This role works works only with “in-house developments and their construction” and is working from the Penang regional HQ you will take ownership of one of the larger projects. This mixed development project consists of a mid sized Mall, commercial A* office, hotel & integrated clinic / health center. You will manage a team of 4 that includes 1 Senior Executive and 3 QS / Contract execs. The other project pipeline include hotels, hospitals, resorts and schools.

duties & responsibilities

• Annual Contract Departmental Business Plan, strategic sourcing and Annual Cost Budget


• To obtain Competitive Bid and Award Tender On Time


• To evaluate contractor’s bid and advise on competitiveness


• Lead a team of consultants, main contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to deliver the projects base on time cost and quality


• Learn from consultants and work with top suppliers and subcontractors

skills & experience

• Minimum 10 years working with consultancy firm or contractor and property developer


• Experience on Commercial projects; example – Hotel, office, resort, theme park, hospital, university etc


• Technical Skills : Well versed with prevailing market prices of construction works and building materials


• High attention to detail is required for this department as they are involved in the structure, interiors, fittings etc of the projects from conception to completion.


• Strong business analysis skills and ability to think long term (30 years) and value engineer solutions that make financial sense over the lifetime of the project.
