IT Project Manager - Permanent or Contract in KL

As a project manager, you will be part of a dynamic delivery environment where your project management skills will be challenged. This position requires you to develop, co-ordinate and monitor project activities in a timely manner. Activities will be progressed in close collaboration with development managers, various representatives of operations groups, product and programmer managers. Responsibilities:  • Ensure timely delivery of project commitments in line with agreed functionality, quality, cost, performance, and in compliance with company procedures and standards, thereby guaranteeing operational success of the product.  • Translate business and non-functional requirements into a project plan with the close collaboration of delivery and operations teams. Monitor and maintain project progress and status, periodically hold project status meetings, briefings, and information sessions involving all contributors and management of the company.  • In collaboration with project stakeholders, propose solutions to mitigate technical and/or business problems in relation to current and future business environment. Qualifications:  Education • University degree in Computer Science, electronic engineering or equivalent. Post-graduate in marketing / MBA or equivalent is an asset.  
Experience :• 8 years of experience, with exposure to project management, preferably within an IT product development environment and/or area of similar complexity.  • Relevant experience in software development, design or architecture of medium to high size/complexity software systems in Unix and Linux environments.   Professional knowledge and expertise Strong analytical skills  Excellent communication skills  Excellent planning and organizing skills  Excellent English, both written and spoken  Attentive to detail and quality  Eager to learn  Team player  Knowledge of business environments (banking, securities and matching) is an asset.
The following IT skills are also required
• Knowledge of various platforms and Operating Systems like UNIX (HP-UX, Oracle Solaris), Windows and Linux  • Experience in the implementation of highly scalable, performant, resilient and secure applications  • Knowledge of protocols and technology standards: network, TCP-based protocols, XML, EIP, BPMN, web-, database- and security- technologies  • Knowledge of SWIFT Interfaces products for SWIFTNet services (FIN, InterAct, FileAct, Browse) and email capabilities is an asset  .
