The Financial Planner role is a focal point for coordination and consolidation activities for the Strategic and Execution plan cycles and/or Forecast and Assessments. The AP RESO Financial Planner role has a broad scope, including responsibility for developing strategic business models, identifying risks and dependencies and developing meaningful business unit targets and business metrics. This position will work closely with line managers and with senior leadership, providing guidance to other professionals and business recommendations to managers and executives. The Financial Planner will also conduct special projects for RESO and is a key player in decision-making activities.
Employees in this role generally work with minimal management supervision and are frequently sought out for their guidance and direction in complex business issues.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Lead, coordinate, plan and consolidate annual budget, monthly measurement, forecast, planning and analysis
Provide financial support in achieving a disciplined budget, forecast and measurement process for expense, resources and capital
Provide meaningful management packages, thoughtful analysis and recommendations to business unit, CFOs, line management and HQs dept
Liase and work closely with the region managers, financial planners, operations, capital and fixed asset teams
Review monthly actual and forecast with GMTs
Provide monthly variance explanation to forecast, budget and YTY
Analyze trends and identify significant changes due to the industry dynamics or accounting policies.
Identify risks, opportunities or abnormality from monthly trend.
Actively monitor spending, headcount movements and capital requirement for management’s decision making.
Monitor intercompany transactions and manage intercompany billings, forecast, budget and YTY analysis
Participate in Peer review for Financial Management.
Conduct ad-hoc projects and analysis

You should also be able to embrace change, collaborate globally, translate complex problems into clear messages that can be acted on, execute with simplicity and agility, mine data, use statistical and quantitative analysis / predictive models to drive decisions and actions.
Hiring Country: Malaysia or Singapore
The successful internal candidate will perform the role in his/her existing work location.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years related experience
- Prior experience in Finance and Planning, consolidation, budgeting and forecasting
