The role

You will be confident in your abilities and have prior, recent experience on large scale, high dollar value projects and have an up to date knowledge of the industry and the expectations involved. You will have to lead the construction team. You will be given full autonomy.

Duties

Our client is looking for a highly driven Project Director with strong focus on project delivery and profitability to be based in Selangor.

• The Project Director acts within the boundaries of the contract with the guidance of the chairman to deliver the object of the contract to the customer under the agreed terms.


• The Project Director will lead the project and cope with the unique challenge of continually focusing on a pro-active management that the functions keeps their delegated budgets, meets their schedules and delivers on their obligation.


• He will manage a team of Assistant Project Directors, Senior Project Managers and Project Managers.

Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will have experience and knowledge within the Malaysian construction industry and must be able to show the following:

– History of ON SITE experience with high value projects

– Proven track record of building and developing project teams with strong leadership and communication skills at all levels.

– Ability to deliver according to plan, budget and quality; must have problem solving capabilities.

– Demonstrable ability to encourage and facilitate change and continuous improvement initiatives.

– Proven ability to influence, negotiate and build effective relationships with customers and internally across various departments.
