The company:
One of the largest building and infrastructure main contractors in the country. They specialize in high rise, mixed use and infrastructure projects that value in more than 1 Billion Ringgit and It has also played a significant role in major national projects. As they have multiple new projects, new roles and promotions are a focus on the hiring management.
 
The Role:
The company is looking for Senior Project Managers who have construction experience and must have come from a construction background. You must be from either from a main contractor or have lead a team within the construction division of a property developer.As the Senior Project Manager, you will report to the Project Director and your tasks are as follows:
 
Job Description:
• Plan out the overall project budget for efficient project control and participate in negotiation and settlement of all contractual changes and finalization of the contract and variation orders within Engineering, Tendering & Contracts Department.
• Ensure all facets of the project ranging from construction works, project and quality, environmental and safety and health management, cost control, quality assurance to meet the targets set by the Project Director.
• Implement and enforce site personnel, workers and subcontractors for quality, environment and safety & health practices at the workplace.
• Liaise and attend meeting with clients, consultants, sub-contractors and relevant authorities to ensure smooth progress of the project/s.
• Supervise and mentor Project Managers who will report to you.
 
Requirements:
• At least a recognized Degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent; 
• Minimum 15 years working experience / 8 years working experience in construction industry preferably in the management, implementation and coordination of construction projects;
• Dynamic, independent and possess good managerial and technical skills;
• Preferably with MIEM and P. Eng but not mandatory
• Must be fluent in written and spoken English to be able to communicate with all parties
