With a range of multi-disciplinary experience, they are able totailor fully-integrated and cost effective solutions for their clients, delivering effective design and building services.
Due to a major increase in business around the Southern Region, my client is seeking an experienced M&E Manager to join them as the Head of their M&E department.
The role –
The main aspect of this responsible position is to plan, monitor and provide effective timely and quality Electro-Mechanical works and services such as installation, repair, operation, service and maintenance.
Duties –
- Perform routine and long term preventive maintenance on Electro-mechanical Plant and Equipment.
- Liaise with Head of Engineering Services on routine inspection of Plant and Equipment and to provide advice on requested services while meeting safety codes, specifications and budgetary limitations.
- Monitor installations of designed equipment/systems to ensure compliance with design specificiations and safety codes, devise and outline maintenance procedures for electrical, mechanical and electronic equipment.
- Coordinate activities of utility services providers and technical consultants.
- Plan, budget and co-ordinate the maintenance of electro-mechanical plant and equipment.
- Prepare status reports of all works performed and services rendered including budget performance.
- Identification, classification and analysis of risks within the different sections of the department and making weekly incident reports for sub,ission to National Directors.
- Generate action plan for the department arising from the risk register of the department and close issues that may be raised by the Risk Management Commitee.
Experience and skills –
- A first class or Upper Second Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 10 years of practical relevant experience.
- Management experience.
- Strong communication skills.
- Coordinatting and monitoring skills.
