Manufacturing Engineering Manager


Job Description ME Manager
1. Responsible for equipment and plant facilities maintenance and tool stock
a) Implement global OS on BOP
b) Supervise a group of employees in a skilled area of work involving repair of equipments, maintenance of production tooling, machinery, dies and plant facilities. Maintain inventory of various tools used and related plant equipment, with immediate responsibility over supervisory subordinates.
c) Work is of a technical nature with decisions made within the limits of general procedures and specifications.
d) Coordination of a number of operations involving the ability to make decisions within the limits of general practices and policies.
e) Maintain budgets and contains costs.


2. Coordinate maintenance program.
a) Trains, develops and evaluates employees.
b) Manages the maintenance and repair of equipment and plant facilities.
c) Monitors operating conditions of equipments and keeps management informed of status.
d) Maintain safety and good housekeeping standards.
e) Complies with the terms of local and national labor agreements


3. Lead IE team to design manufacturing system for new projects (from prototype to SOP).
a) Be responsible for review project plan with project team, make sure IE’s work catch the time line of each phase of the project.
b) Be responsible for review MSD and KPI, and follow up to make sure each activity is closed on time.
c) Coordinate APQP activities for ME function, such as PFD and PFMEA review meeting.
d) Participate in the training related with IE technical skill and management skill.
e) Participate in DFM activities, follow up the open issue to be closed.
f) Support new business quotation.
g) Share the lessons learnt and best practice with central ME team and plant ME team.
