Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

This position requires skills in the design of infrastructures including servers, storage, middleware, systems software, networks, and the physical facilities implemented in accordance with the client’s global standard requirements.  The potential candidate needs to work with a team of applications and/or infrastructure architects, implementation specialists, application developers, and operations staff to derive a viable solution design, while helping to identify potential problems and ensuring the success of the solution design and implementation.  Most importantly, the potential candidate is responsible to understand the requirements from different source in large and complex environment and translate these into a presentable/formidable technical design.Infrastructure includes:

• Intel and midrange server environments.


• LAN / WAN and other networking technologies


• Storage technologies, such as SAN, Fibre-channel, NAS technologies


• Firewall rules / Load Balancers


• Security infrastructure


• Systems management


• Integration technologies


• Backup and recovery methodologies


• Disaster Recovery methodologies

 

Preferred Experience

• Understanding Intel and midrange platforms, and associated environment.


• Ability to design and implement midrange and high-end server infrastructure, including network setup, to support business needs and requirements.


• Ability to analyze and translate requirements into functional specifications, implementation requirements and executable instructions.


• Experience with Windows & Linux Servers, AIX, VMware, File Systems, Server Networking and port configurations are highly recommended.


• Experience with infrastructure life cycle management and design methodologies with a strong understanding of systems management processes and techniques.


• Experience in network firewall configuration is an added advantage.

Additional Information

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in an Information Technology related discipline


• At least 4 years experience in IT infrastructure


• English: Fluent
