Software Test Specialist

For a start, the selected candidates will work on Storage Auto Provisioning Project, it is a solution based on OpenStack which automate storage volume allocation with SAN Volume Controller (SVC), the selected candidates should be able to work comfortably with SVC and its configuration to reproduce defects, respond to field issues and test fixes provided by developers. In long term, it is expected to be assign to other projects within the storage domain areas, supporting strategic outsourcing accounts, clients and users

Job Responsibilities

• Perform appropriate test strategy and technique to ensure the quality of releases


• Design test plans, execute test case, analyze output, identify discrepancies and report defect.


• Write test script, mock data, simulate execution, implement checkpoint and schedule routine


• Develop, Test and Maintain Automation scripts


• Provide test summary and updates


• Maintain Test documentation


• Find solutions and initiate change proactively in the testing area


• Proactively seek process improvement area within the team


• Ability to come up with the best test cases for given requirements


• Work closely with the Development Team on testing and production issues.

Job Require

• A good Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information System or Business Computing.


• Working experience from 5 to 8 years in software/tools/application testing.


• Knowledge and experience in storage related technologies and domain areas.


• Knowledge and experience of SVC setup and usage to test with storage provisioning tool based on Open Stack.


• Knowledge and experience of Web.


• Knowledge and experience of Linux admin experience is a must; no need to be an expert, but an advanced Linux user (rpm install / configuration …)


• Working experience with functional, integration and performance testing


• Testing experience of Manual and Automation Testing.


• Knowledge and experience of scripting skills (Python) is a plus.


• Knowledge and experience of IBM Rational tools (such as RTC) is a plus.


• Ability to comprehend and explain technical aspects of testing Issues


• Ability to articulate a problem and translate it into a written report


• A team player, self-managed, independent and pro-active attitude.


• Good written, verbal, and presentation skills in English is a must.
