About the role
Reporting to the Finance Director, you are to manage the Human Resources function and put in place tools to recruit the right people for the right job and ensure they continue to meet business requirements through on-going training & development. Thereon to retain these talents by ensuring they are fairly compensated through benchmarking and other relevant programs. Some of the incumbent’s key accountabilities include:
- Develops and administers various human resources policies and procedures for all company personnel.
- Advises management on recruitment and retention strategies and works with management to develop these and other relevant strategies.
- Manages the compensation & benefits scheme and ensures an equitable and competitive remuneration structure is in place to attract and retain the right candidates.
- Manages the employer / employee relations and communication to maximise on-going productivity and efficiency without deteriorating relationships.
- Coordinates the training & development function for all employees for the purpose of on-going skill development to meet business requirements
- Handles the administrative aspects of the company ensuring
This position requires a balance between being approachable with good interpersonal skills and maintaining confidentiality of information
Skills & Experiences:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, HR management or any field related
- Minimum of 5 years relevant HR generalist experience in a manufacturing industry
- Highly knowledgeable with labour regulations and HR operating environment
- Work experience from international/global companies is preferred
- Experience in certain HR specialties (e.g. Compensation and Benefits, Recruitment, Industrial Relations) is an added advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skill
- Service-oriented mindset
- Well organized
- Team player mentality is extremely important in this role
